Medicinal herbs and spices have always been an integral part of the world of alcohol. The properties of the alcoholic liquid made it possible to extract, concentrate and preserve the aromas, flavors and active ingredients of various plants. This gave us wonderful drinks such as bitters, vermouth, fernet, gin, aquavit and aperitif drinks. Each of these drinks has different characteristics - depending on the geographical area, tradition and culture. At Jullius we make sure to produce bitters, vermouth, aperitivo and gin inspired by traditional drinks, exclusively using plants that are native to the Galilee. A large portion of them is gathered from the Hanita forest that surrounds the distillery. Alongside these botanical drinks, we produce drinks with an equally ancient tradition – Mead and Krupnik - both made purely from local honey.
